Aktivistë u vendosën para buldozerëve që po sheshonin një zonë të mbrojtur ligjërisht dhe një habitat flamingosh, për një resort luksoz të lidhur me Jared Kushner dhe Ivanka Trump — dhëndri dhe vajza e Presidentit Donald Trump. Ajo çka filloi si një protestë lokale kundër ndërtimit ilegal në habitatin e flamingove, është bërë një nga lëvizjet më të mëdha proteste që Shqipëria ka parë prej dekadash. ÇFARË ËSHTË SHQIPËRIA?
Shqipëria është një vend i vogël në bregdetin Adriatik të Evropës juglindore me rreth 2.8 milionë banorë. Kufizohet me Greqinë, Maqedoninë e Veriut, Kosovën dhe Malin e Zi. Për shumicën e shekullit XX, ajo ishte një nga shtetet më të izoluara komuniste të Evropës, nën diktaturën brutale të Enver Hoxhës. Pas rënies së komunizmit në 1991, Shqipëria ndërtoi një demokraci — të brishtë por reale. Sot Shqipëria është zyrtarisht kandidate për t'u anëtarësuar në Bashkimin Evropian. Ky qëllim — anëtarësimi në BE — ka rëndësi të madhe për shqiptarët e zakonshëm. Ai do të thotë liri lëvizjeje, të drejta juridike më të forta, dhe vend në komunitetin evropian. Arritja e tij kërkon plotësimin e standardeve të BE-së për sundimin e ligjit, demokracinë dhe mbrojtjen e mjedisit.
KU JEMI TANI?
Më 2 qershor, prokurori shqiptar antikorrupsion (SPAK) ngriu llogaritë bankare të Albania Land Development — një kompani e zotëruar nga vëllezërit katarianë Moutaz dhe Ramez Al-Khayyat, të cilët financojnë dhe ndërtojnë resortin — si pjesë e një hetimi mbi titujt e pronave mashtruese. Më 20 qershor, mbi 250,000 persona u mblodhën në Tiranë në demonstratën më të madhe të lëvizjes. Protestat nuk tregojnë shenja ndalimi.
ÇFARË KËRKON LËVIZJA?
Lëvizja proteste ka pesë kërkesa kryesore: (1) dorëheqja e menjëhershme e qeverisë Rama; (2) formimi i një qeverie teknike kalimtare; (3) anulimi i plotë i projektit bregdetar Zvërnec; (4) shfuqizimi i ndryshimeve të vitit 2024 në Ligjin për Zonat e Mbrojtura; (5) shfuqizimi i ndryshimeve në Ligjin e Trashëgimisë Kulturore. Këto nuk janë kërkesa ekstreme — janë kërkesa demokratike dhe ligjore bazë.
