Vjosa-Narta is not only a wetland. Sazan is not only an island. Zvernec is not only a development parcel. These places hold history, military memory, religious heritage, fishing communities, bird migration, salt, pine forest, beaches and the emotional map of a people who have already lost too many sons and daughters to emigration. International media can call it the flamingo protest, but Albanians know it is bigger. It is a fight to say that tradition is not decoration for investors; it is a living right. Any government that ignores this pride misunderstands the country it claims to represent.
